For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function… Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; if ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

DIACONAL WORK
In ministering to the spiritual needs of Filipino Catholics in Gouda and Surroundings, the FCC Gouda facilitates baptisms, confirmation and weddings during the mass on 4th Sunday of the month. Also during the 4th Sunday mass, via the Children’s Bible Corner, children are taught about the liturgy of the day. Outside the mass, the FCC Gouda members visit the sick at home and in the hospital to pray for their healing; they also comfort the grieving (usually the widow) and visit and pray for those low in spirit. Donations, cash or kind, are collected for people stricken by natural disasters back home in the Philippines.
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
