You are God’s personal person

Isaiah 40:1-11. Matthew 18:12-14

The parable of the lost sheep is God’s own way of telling us that all of us are important in his sight. It is telling you that you are God’s ‘Personal Person’ no matter what has happened. He is ready to rescue you and remove that dirt around you and in you. Jesus’ coming was primarily to accomplish this, no wonder he was accused of loving sinners and eating with them. JESUS LEAVING THE 99 SHEEP BEHIND TO LOOK FOR 1 LOST SHEEP WILL MAKE NO SENSE TO YOU, UNTIL YOU SEE YOURSELF AS THE 1 LOST SHEEP.

Dear child of God, we have a God who looks for us more than we look for Him. He is after our own good and well being more than we are, He is more interested in you than you are in yourself. Let us realize the fact and make amends during this Advent season. It is time of total return to God. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. Though what pains the Shepherd-Jesus is not our sin, but the non-committal to total repentance, we still desire to be lost over and over again, and we want Jesus to keep looking for us. PRAYER: Lord help us return to you and become faithful in following you. Amen. God bless you and do have a nice Tuesday.

A CHRISTIAN IS NOT AN ORDINARY PERSON.

Few things are important

This is one of the greatest principles I have seen in the Bible coming from Jesus Himself. Like Martha we worry/fret about so many things, we are highly distracted by a lot of things. The most unfortunate thing is that in the midst of all these fretting, we forget the few things that matter. A great man once said that the two most important days of your life is the day you were born and the day you find out why. Greatness is about mastery, success is about focus. Many of us wake up everyday trying to do just anything and many things without knowing which one is more important and why. Jesus said to Martha, ‘only few things are important…’ I promise you that your life will be better if you choose few important things in every aspect of your life; business, family, work, community etc and become a master and great in those few areas. Stop fretting and coasting like butterfly, discover the few things that matter and give it your best and you will not regret it. May you like Mary be given the wisdom and courage to choose the best part and may it never be taken away from you in Jesus name Amen!

Who is the greatest

The struggle for the greatest is an old age struggle that continues to tear the world apart. Sometimes, even people who have been blessed by God end up living miserably because they are seeking to be greater than someone. Most people are sad and bitter just because they feel someone is greater than them, they keep comparing themselves and measuring heights. This attitude is the root of unhappiness and greediness. I have seen two brothers who were very rich and blessed but they had no peace in the family simply because they were quarreling over who was richer than the other, they also transferred the quarrel and negative attitude to their children and wives. Greatness is inside each one of us, we are in the world to serve and at the end, it is not what you have that will matter, but what you have given to the world, how have you used your gifts, talents, time, abilities to serve the world. Jesus said, ‘the least among you, is the greatest. May the Lord teach us the wisdom and joy of service through Christ our Lord.
